Join us at Copenhagen Atomics as we finish building a functioning thorium molten salt reactor.

Copenhagen Atomics has invented a new form of nuclear reactor, which is significantly more efficient than any previous nuclear reactors. This will be a game changer for the global energy sector. Our reactors will be able to provide energy at lower cost than any other technology (including fusion).

As a company, we value curiosity, flexibility, being self-driven, yet able to collaborate, and the possibility to grow as a person and professional.

Department:

The Fuel Salt Production team is central to Copenhagen Atomics’ mission. We produce the high-purity fluoride salts needed for reactor testing and research, and we’re building the production capability to scale. The team consists of engineers, technicians and specialists working closely together in a hands-on environment.

We are currently obtaining regulatory authorisation from the Danish radiation protection authority (Sundhedsstyrelsen) to handle thorium and uranium compounds. This means we are building a quality and compliance management system, while maintaining the pace and flexibility of a startup.

You will be responsible for keeping our management system alive and functional. Building what is missing with specialists, ensuring documents are controlled, approvals flow smoothly, training records are current, and - together with our radiation officer - ensuring we’re always ready for an authority audit.

Day-to-day, that means:

  • Coordinate and run procedure update workshops with specialists, engineers and decision makers
  • Responsible for minor incident investigations
  • Document control: version management, approvals, access in Google Workspace
  • Coordinate review/approval cycles between engineers, radiation officer, and management
  • Maintain registers: training, source inventory, inspection logs
  • Prepare for and support regulatory audits
  • Flag gaps between documentation and actual practice

This is not a passive behind the scenes role. You’ll work directly with the department head, the radiation protection officer, and our engineers. When a procedure needs updating, you’re the one who makes sure it happens through coordinating and executing workshops, getting it reviewed, communicating the updates, and updating the system.

We’re looking for a person who:

  • Can bridge the gap between engineering practice and regulatory requirements
  • Works independently - you are the compliance department
  • Understands QMS (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
  • Has an AI first mindset. Comfortable using AI as a work facilitator
  • Is comfortable with Google Workspace
  • May have a background in Information Science, business administration, pharma or similar where structure and data integrity is key
  • Has professional proficiency in both English and Danish. Danish is the language of regulatory texts; English is the company language

We value curiosity and initiative over years of experience. 1-2 years in a relevant role (including structured student positions) is sufficient if you can navigate complexity vs pragmatism.

Nuclear/radiation background is not required. Full training will be provided in accordance with regulatory requirements.
